Masses have to be moved from a Derry church while the building is being refurbished. The work has started at St Brigid’s Church in Carnhill. As a result, Masses usually held at the church will instead be held in St Brigid’s Centre over the next few weeks, (please note change of venue). This will affect the weekend Masses at 6pm on Saturday and 10.30am and 12.30pm on Sundays. The weekend Masses will be moved for this weekend and every weekend up to and including the weekend of December 3rd and 4th. Also, weekday Masses from Monday, November 14, onwards will be celebrated in the main room of the Resource Centre at 9.30 am, Monday – Friday. Saturday morning Mass will be celebrated in St Brigid’s Centre at 9.30 am. A spokesperson for the church said: “We apologise for any inconvenience during this time of refurbishment. “We thank people for their ongoing support. We acknowledge those who facilitate the celebration of our daily and weekend Masses during this time of refurbishment.”
