Templemore 3
Templemore Sports Complex’s fitness suite was packed to the rafters on Monday January 30th as the centre officially relaunched their new look gym by swinging open its doors to the public with free admission. The new look Derry City and Strabane District Council facility includes a state of the art spinning studio and a new functional area with a wide range of modern equipment. To celebrate they offered a range of promotions including ‘one to one’ training sessions, complimentary samples of smoothies and free health checks. Free half hour spin classes and fitness challenges throughout the day were part of a busy programme that Templemore Sports Complex Area Manager Cathy Farren hopes will encourage as many people as possible to pursue their fitness goals at the centre. “There was a buoyant atmosphere in the gym on Monday as members of the public took full advantage of our offer to come along and try out the fitness suite for themselves,” she said. “The feedback we got from our existing members was that they approve of the new layout and the projected music videos and disco lights in the spinning studio were particularly popular. “With a number of different memberships on offer, including an All Inclusive package for all five gyms in the Council area, there has never been a better time to join us.” Following Monday’s official relaunch, new and existing members of the gym can take advantage of a free ‘one to one’ training sessions with a member of the Complex’s fitness team as well as small group training. Everyone who attended Monday’s relaunch was entered into a Grand Prize Draw where first prize of one year’s free All-Inclusive Membership was won by Gerry Mullen, second prize of six months All-Inclusive Membership went to Cahir O’Doherty and Shane McClean was third and received three months All-Inclusive Membership. There was also a fourth and fifth prize of a Day Pass for Two to Foylehov Activity Centre which went to Agnieszka Luczak and Jason Ogle.
