Police in Derry investigating two incidents reported to have occurred in the city this week have made a second arrest.
Following further enquiries, a 26-year-old man was arrested on Wednesday evening, January 14 on suspicion of common assault and he remains in custody at this time.
This arrest is in connection to an incident reported to have occurred on Great James Street in the city during the early hours of Wednesday morning, 14 January, where a woman reported being followed by an unknown man.
A 35-year-old man arrested on suspicion of indecent exposure, following a report made about an incident on Culmore Road on Tuesday, January 13 remains in custody at this time.
Based on police information at the time, police were investigating that both incidents may have been linked. However, following further information and enquiries conducted, police do not believe the incidents to be linked at this time, and to be separate.
Police continue to appeal for witnesses and information in relation to these incidents to contact them on 101, quoting reference numbers CW 71 14/01/26 or CW 1177 of 13/01/26.
Police would also appeal for witnesses to any other similar incidents to report these via 101.
