Derry Magistrate's Court
A woman has appeared at Derry Magistrate's Court charged with a number of driving offences following an accident.
Margaret Moore (46) of Kilcul Road in Claudy was charged with, on March 25 this year, driving without due care and attention, failing to stop at the scene of an accident, failing to report an accident and failing to remain at the scene of an accident.
Moore was seen to have crashed into a roundabout on Duke Street and struck another vehicle before driving away from the scene towards tge Waterside train station.
She was later identified in May this year via CCTV and made full admissions to the offences.
She was said to be apologetic over the incident and paid for the damage caused.
Defence solicitor Paddy MacDermott said that Moore had been driving for sixteen years and had no previous record.
She was given eight penalty points and ordered to pay a fine of £250.
