A man who breached the no alcohol condition of his bail with a reading of 152mgs, with the legal limit being 35mgs, has appeared at Derry Magistrate's Court today.

Rory O'Neill (29) of Elaghmore Park in Derry appeared charged with breaching his bail by being intoxicated and faced three new charges.

He was charged with assaulting and resisting police on November 12 and one charge of disorderly behaviour in Beraghvale on the same date.

A police officer connected the accused to the charges and said that this was the defendant's 'first breach of bail ever'.

He said that O'Neill was on bail for serious charges and added that police had concerns about the proposed address but these could be met with a curfew and tag.

The defendant was re-released on bail with a curfew and tag condition added on and will appear again on December 10.
