The funeral arrangements of popular Derry man Seamus Quinn have been announced.

Mr Quinn's remains were found in Inishowen on Wednesday after police on both sides of the border issued an urgent appeal for the public’s help in locating the 63-year-old.

Mr Quinn, who worked at Loreto Secondary School in Letterkenny, was described as a 'dedicated' and 'exceptional' teacher who 'shaped countless students'.

He was the beloved husband of Jacqueline and loving father of Caitlín, Seamus, Mícheál, Roisín and Diarmuid. Dear son of the late James and Sheila. Dear Brother of Gerard, Dermot, Aileen, Oonagh and the late Siobhan.

His remains will repose at home from 3pm on Friday, October 24. The family have requested that the house will be private from 10pm until 12 noon each day of the wake.

Funeral from his home, 18 Mansefield Grove, on Monday, October 27 at 9.20am to St Patrick's Church, Pennyburn for Requiem Mass at 10.00am. Followed by private cremation.

The family have asked that instead of Mass cards and flowers, donations can be made via the link below or alternatively via a cash bucket at the home to “MEN'S ACTION NETWORK” in memory of Seamus. https://gofund.me/716f03a85
