Translink is bringing an extra dose of fun to Derry this week with their interactive ‘Spin and Go’ destination wheel.
The wheel, which is currently touring key locations including stations and shopping centres, will be in Guildhall Square this Friday (August 8) from 10.00am to 1.00pm.
The public are invited to spin the wheel, reveal a destination and plan their adventure as Translink encourages families, friends and solo adventurers to rediscover Northern Ireland by public transport, making the most of great-value fares and stress-free travel.
Families can take advantage of the popular £24 Family & Friends ticket, offering unlimited day travel across bus and rail services for up to two adults and four children. For those seeking flexibility and freedom, the £10 Bus Rambler ticket provides unlimited day travel after 9.15am on Ulsterbus, Goldliner, Metro and Glider services throughout Northern Ireland.
Whether it’s walking the historic City Walls in Derry, heading for a seaside day at Portrush or exploring Belfast’s Titanic Quarter, Translink services offer convenient and sustainable connections to some of the region’s best-loved attractions, as well as a few hidden gems.
Alan Young, Service Delivery Manager, Translink, said: “Summer is the perfect time to slow down, explore local spots and let someone else do the driving. With easy connections and great-value fares, public transport is a brilliant way to enjoy relaxed, car-free adventures.
"It also supports cleaner, greener travel choices that benefit everyone in our communities, ensuring we all stay better-connected.”
Translink’s ‘Spin and Go’ destination wheel offers inspiration for spontaneous days out, all reachable using Translink services.
