Man (28) charged with 20 drug related offences returned for trial to Derry Crown Court

A 28-year-old man has been returned for trial to Derry Crown Court on 20 drug related charges.

The man who had previously been granted anonymity appeared at a PE at Derry Magistrate's Court today. 

He faced 20 charges including being concerned in the supply of class A and B drugs on various dates between March and May last year.

He was also charged with possessing class A and B drugs over the same period and supplying the drugs. 

It was accepted there was a case to answer and there were no contrary submissions.

The man said he did not want to call any witnesses or make any statement at this stage. 

He was returned for trial to Derry Crown Court on September 3 and remanded in continuing custody.
