The burial and funeral of the second young victim of the Lough Swilly drowning tragedy will take place in Buncrana this weekend.
Matt Sibanda will be laid to rest at Cockhill Cemetery following requiem mass at St Mary’s Oratory on Saturday morning, May 31 at 9.30am.
The 18-year-old Crana College student died along with his friend Emmanuel Familola (16) after the pair got into difficulty in the water at Ned’s Point on Saturday afternoon, May 10.
A major search operation recovered Matt’s body in Lough Swilly after 9pm later that night.
Matt’s remains will be reposing in St Mary’s Oratory, Buncrana on Friday evening, May 30, from 7.00pm to 10.00pm.

His death is deeply regretted, and he will be forever missed by his loving mother Bonnie, his extended family, and friends.
