O’Kane Meats in Claudy has re-opened its doors to the public following a complete refit.
The popular butchers reopened its Main Street premises last week following three weeks of work to completely renovate the interior.
New flooring, ceilings, counters and refrigerators were installed in the spacious and modern shop.
The outside has also benefited from a facelift with a new wooden facade and automatic doors.
The award-winning business, which has been trading since 1989 in the heart of the Claudy community, produces the best quality and variety of meat with the highest standards of hygiene and service.

The butcher shop, which is famed for its award winning produce, was officially opened on Tuesday by much-loved Derry entertainer Micky Doherty.
“What a grand opening and what an audience, they are just like one big family out in Claudy,” Micky said afterwards.
“I just want to take this opportunity to wish Rory and all the team at O’Kane Meats the best of luck for the future.
“They have special offers, a hot food deli, all your fresh meats, everything is in this new establishment, it is just phenomenal.”
Owner Rory O'Kane said he couldn’t have done this without the support of the loyal customers and staff.
“I always wanted to take over and follow in my daddy and uncle's footsteps of keeping high standards and serving the community,” he said.
“With the increase in space, we hope to produce more products and more convenience for customers.”
Chairman of the Elite Butchers, Colly Donnelly commented: “This is a brilliant achievement for a young man. It is great to see butcher shops thriving.
“Rory is dedicated to butchers and is always there to try new products and new ideas.”
