Derry’s Clare’s Barbers has been named winner of the 'Barber of the Year'
Derry’s Clare’s Barbers has been named winner of the 'Barber of the Year' in the 10th Northern Ireland Hair and Beauty Awards 2025 (Chapter 1).
The barbershop is located in Rosemount, and this is the second time Clare has achieved this award, previously winning it in 2021.
Among the other local winners were Meraki Hairdressing of Carlisle Road, Derry who was awarded 'Hair Salon of the Year'.
In the 'Stylist of the Year' award, Nicole Cassidy Hair of Magherafelt received 'Recognised for Excellence' award.
Coleraine based Hair@No6 were named 'Creative Stylist of the Year'.

In the 'Colour Specialists of the Year', local salon Vanity received 'Outstanding Achievement' award.
'Outstanding Achievement' was awarded to Mavericks Hair Extensions & Beauty, based in Northside Shopping Centre, in the 'Hair Extensions Technician of the Year' category award.
Newbuildings based JLD Bridal Specialists were 'Recognised for Excellence' in the 'Freelance Bridal Hair Specialist of the Year' category.
'Outstanding Achievement' went to Dungiven's The Hair Studio Curl Specialist in the 'Hair Boutique of the Year' category.
'Hair Team of the Year' was awarded to Habitat Hairdressing of Moneymore.
In the 'Most Wanted Salon of the Year' category, Simpsons Hair Studio (Maghera) were 'Recognised for Excellence'.
The awards recognise the best of the best in the hair and beauty industry in Northern Ireland. They will acknowledge the hard work, dedication, creativity, and customer service of the talented individuals and businesses that operate in the industry.
This year the awards have been split into two chapters due to the deep talent pool of excellent and talented professionals in Northern Ireland. Chapter 1 spotlights the salons and individuals that specialise in the hair industry.
The winners will be announced at a prestigious awards ceremony that will take place on Saturday the 11th of May at the La Mon Hotel & Country Club.
