Police were called for assistance to the scene and, upon searching him, found Barker to be in possession of drugs and he was subsequently arrested.
Defence Barrister Fergal McCormick said that Barker had been the victim of addiction, adding that the incident had not escalated beyond 'unpleasantness'.
He told the court that Barker had recently been given a significant suspended sentence for unrelated matters and said that this had simply been a 'small misstep'.
Deputy District Judge John Rea said that this was Barker's first time in court on drug offences but said that he did have a 'very bad' record, giving him a conditional discharge for two years.
