A man has been remanded in custody at Derry Magistrates' Court following a breach of a non-molestation order.
Daryl O'Donnell (45) of Belvedere Park in Derry was charged with breaching the order against his former partner between March 5 and April 14.
On April 13, police spoke to O'Donnell's former partner, hearing that she had received a follow request on Instagram from an account with the name of O'Donnell's mother.
She also had a number of message requests on both Instagram and Facebook from accounts with the same name as well as ones she did not recognize.
On April 14, O'Donnell rang the injured party's father while she was there and, on April 15, left a magnet with a photo of a nun from his mother's house outside prior to the injured party's son arriving home.
Defence Barrister Michael Donaghey called O'Donnell's behavior 'bizarre', telling the court that a 'bad alcohol problem' played a role in his actions.
He added that O'Donnell had pleaded guilty, telling the court that the breaches did not involve any violence or threats of violence.
District Judge Ted Magill said what concerned him was the persistence of the behaviour and added he no confidence that if he released O'Donnell he would not do the same thing again.
Bail was refused and he will appear again on April 25.
