Man has been returned for trial to Derry Crown Court on wounding charge

A man has been returned for trial to Derry Crown Court on a charge of wounding. 

Tiernan Green (21) of Drumcliffe Avenue in Derry appeared at a preliminary enquiry at the local Magistrates' Court. 

He is charged with wounding a man on June 23 and also charged with criminal damage to a car on the same date.

It was accepted there was a case to answer and there were no contrary submissions. 

Green said he did not want to call any witnesses or make any statement at this. 

He was returned for trial to Derry Crown Court on April 28 and released on bail.
