Man returned for trial to Derry Crown Court on series of drug charges

A man has been returned for trial to Derry Crown Court on a series of drug charges. 

Marc Villa (31) of Clon Elagh in Derry appeared at a preliminary enquiry at the local Magistrates' Court today. 

He faced a total of five charges including being concerned in the supply of cocaine, cannabis and pregablin on dates between March 20, 2024 and June 13, 2024.

He was also charged with possessing drugs between the same dates.

It was accepted that there was a case to answer and there were no contrary submissions. 

Villa said he did not want to call any witnesses or make any statement at this stage. 

He was returned for trial to Derry Crown Court on March 25 and remanded in continuing custody.
