A performance by Lisneal college students
UNISON will be celebrating the 50th Anniversary of International Women’s Day by holding an empowering event at Guildhall in Derry on Saturday March 8.
The event is supported by the Mayor, Cllr Lilian Seenoi Barr and is aimed at inspiring the next generation of feminist change-makers by raising awareness of the power of activism and how young woman can harness this power to make meaningful changes in society..
Doors open at 6.30pm with a drinks reception and light refreshments.

There will be a Panel discussion chaired by Patricia McKeown, UNISON Regional Secretary.
The Panel will consist of Speakers representing Foyle Women’s Aid, Disability Action, International Black and Migrant Workers, LGBTQ+ and UNISON’s Young Members.

The event will conclude with an empowering performance directed by Casey-Jade Campbell, performed by Lisneal students and organised by FUSE arts.
