Two people injured in St Johnston hit and run

The two-car  collision occurred on the Porthall to St Johnston Road on Sunday afternoon

A driver left the scene of a two-car collision near St Johnston at the weekend which left two people injured.

The collision occurred on the Porthall to St Johnston Road on Sunday, February 23 at around 3.20pm.

The driver and passenger of one of the cars sustained injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening in nature. The driver of the second car left the area and did not remain at the scene.

The area where the collision occurred is known locally as the Block of Five. Gardaí are appealing for dash cam footage from road users who may have travelled on the Porthall to St Johnston Road between 3pm and 3.30pm on Sunday.

If anybody can assist with dash cam footage or with relevant information, they are asked to contact gardaí in Letterkenny on 074-9167100.
