Garrett Doherty, 65 The Branch, Derry

The death has taken place of the late Garrett Doherty, September 2 2025, at his home, 65 The Branch, loving father of Clíodhna and Garrett, beloved son of Angela and the late Mickey, cherished brother of Carleen and Laoise. Dearly loved and will be sadly missed by his friends and the wider family circle. Garrett will be reposing at his family homex, 33 Shandon Park on Friday, September 5 from 12noon to 9:00pm. House private from 9:00pm to 12noon. Funeral leaving 33 Shandon Park on Saturday, September 6 at 10:20am to St. Patrick’s Church, Pennyburn for Requiem Mass at 11:00a.m. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Sacred Heart Of Jesus have mercy on his soul. Our Lady Of Lourdes intercede for him.

 

Scott Graham, Limavady

The death has occurred of the late Scott Graham, September 2 2025, formerly of Limavady, beloved son of the late Janette, loving brother of John and the late Paul, cherished nephew of Robert, Ann, Ian, Catherine, John, Andrew and the late Colleen and Stephen and much loved cousin of Suzanne, Charley, Bernadette, Shauna, Ian, Robert, Sarah, Stacey, Jamielee, Laura, Emma, Megan, Joseph, Mark and the late Billy. Everyone is welcome to pay their respects at W J O’Brien & Son’s Funeral Home, 110 Clooney Road, Eglinton, BT47 3PU, on Friday evening from 7.00pm – 9.00pm. Funeral service there on Saturday at 1.00pm. Interment afterwards in Enagh Cemetery. The Lord is my Shepherd.

 

Eugene McGinty, 5 Shandon Park, Derry

It is with deep sorrow and great sadness that we announce the passing of Eugene McGinty, peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family on September 4 2025. Late of 5 Shandon Park. May he rest in peace. Beloved husband of Leonie. Devoted father of Julie, Eoin, Barry, Aileen and Joan. Dearest father-in-law of Bob, Lesley, Kevin and Gary. A much loved grandfather and great-grandfather to all of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A dear brother of Freda, Bernadette and the late Sheila, Jack and Gertie. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by all of his wider family circle and lifelong friends. Eugene’s remains will be reposing at his late home, 5 Shandon Park. Funeral leaving from there on Saturday, September 6 at 9:20am for 10.00am Requiem Mass in St. Eugene’s Cathedral. We regret to inform you that the death has taken place of Christine McIvor (née McCann), suddenly but peacefully, at The City Hospital, Belfast on September 3 2025. May she rest in peace. Late of 455 Barnailt Road, Claudy, Co Derry. Beloved wife of Liam. Loving mother of Liam Jnr (Bethany) Aaron (Catherine) and Cailléne (Ryan). Daughter of the late George and Frances R.I.P and dear sister of Frank, George, Sean, Min, Ciaran, Julie and the late Michael and Paul R.I.P. Fond daughter in law of Marian and John. Deeply regretted by the entire family circle. Reposing at her late home. Funeral from her late home on Saturday, September 6 leaving at 9.15am for 10.00am Requiem Mass in Saint Patrick‘s Church, Claudy. Interment immediately afterwards in the adjoining graveyard. Requiem mass can be viewed via the church webcam https://mcn.live/Camera/saint-patricks-claudy. Family flowers only please, donations if wished in lieu to Cancer Research c/o McLaughlin Funeral Directors. It is with deep regret and sorrow we announce the passing of Susan McNicholl (née O’Kane), September 4 2025, Peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family (Glenullin and formerly Gorteade Swatragh), beloved wife of the late Seamus and loving mother of Seamus, Anne, Mairead, Patrick and Martin and much loved Grandmother of Seamus and Fiona and Great Grandmother of Nova and Dwayne Junior. Daughter of the late Dan and Annie O’Kane and dear sister of the late Mary, Bella, Alice, Peggy, James, Pat, Archie and Danny. N.B Susan’s wake will commence on Saturday at 11.00am. Family time on Friday please. Funeral from her late residence, 4 Hillside Road (Chapel Lane) on Sunday at 10.45am (Travelling via Lisnascreaghog Road/Glen Road) for 11.30am Requiem Mass in St. Joseph’s Church, Glenullin. Margaret McMullan (née McErlean), 106 Deerpark Road, Bellaghy

The death has taken place of Margaret McMullan (née McErlean), September 2 2025, (peacefully in Craigdun Nursing Home (Deerpark Road, Bellaghy), surrounded by her loving family), beloved wife of the late John, much loved daughter of the late Peter and Mary Ellen and loving sister of the late Mary Anne (Smith). Requiem Mass on Friday, September 5 at 11.00am followed by burial immediately afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Deeply regretted by her sorrowing, nephew, niece and all her family and friends who loved her so much. Our Lady Of Lourdes pray for her.
