Man (31) due to appear before Derry Magistrates' Court charged with drug and traffic-related offences

The charges follow on from an incident in Eglinton on Monday night, (February 10) and the search of a vehicle outside Magherafelt on Tuesday, February 11 during which suspected Class C controlled drugs were seized

A 31-year-old man is due to appear before Derry Magistrates' Court today (Wednesday, February 12), charged with drug-related and traffic-related offences.

The 18 charges include possession of a Class C controlled drug, possession of a Class C drug with intent to supply, failing to stop for police, driving without insurance, driving without due care and attention, no driving licence, taking a motor vehicle without authority, and possession of an article with blade or point in a public place. 

The charges follow on from an incident in Eglinton on Monday night, (February 10) and the search of a vehicle outside Magherafelt on Tuesday, February 11 during which suspected Class C controlled drugs were seized.

The charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution.
