A woman has been remanded in custody by Derry Magistrates' Court following a breach of her bail conditions.

Danielle Sweeney-Lawlor (33) of Sheelin Park in Derry was on bail for two counts of assault last August and assaulting police in November.

Police were attending the B&B she had been staying in on February 4 when they were told by staff that she was not there, having left just before their arrival.

Police then found her running back and noticed she was clearly intoxicated.

When asked, Sweeney-Lawlor refused a breath test, leading to her arrest for breaching bail conditions of abstaining from alcohol and following a curfew. This was her fourth breach of bail.

Defence Barrister Stephen Chapman said that there was an application for bail but it was refused.

She will appear again on Friday other matters.
