The chapel of rest

Visitors to the City Cemetery in Derry are advised that there will be restricted access to the small chapel of rest on the site to allow for essential works today (Wednesday, January 29).

The area, which is beside the main entrance from the Lone Moor Road, will be cordoned off throughout the day to ensure health and safety while the maintenance works are carried out.

"Visitors are asked to use the top entrance to the site if possible and to follow the directions on site. We appreciate your patience while these works are being carried out and hope to have the area reopened on Thursday," a council spokesperson said.
