A woman has been fined at Derry Magistrates' Court for assaulting another female after entering her home.
Carla McGonagle (30) of Rossnagalliagh in Derry was charged with assaulting a woman in her own home on November 9 last year.
The injured party called the police after McGonagle had entered her home by a back door and attacked her in her bedroom, pulling her by her hair extensions and punching and scratching her.
Defence Barrister Stephen Chapman said that McGonagle had accepted that she had entered the house but said that she had been drinking at the time of the offences.
She was ordered to pay a fine of £250 and a compensation order of £100.
