Derry Magistrate's Court
A man who admitted sexually assaulting a female in Altnagelvin Hospital by grabbing her breasts after telling her he had healing hands has been remanded in custody at Derry Magistrate's Court today for breaching his bail.
Christopher Woods (60) of Duke Street in Derry appeared charged with breaching his bail by being intoxicated and refusing to take a breath test.
Woods is awaiting sentence in the Crown Court after he admitted the hospital sex assault that occurred on January 1 this year.
A police officer told the court that police were called to the top deck of Craigavon Bridge on October 19 where they found Woods who was said to have been 'extremely intoxicated'.
The court heard that Woods is facing two sexual assault charges the hospital one and another one from October.
The officer said that all of the defendant's offending was linked to alcohol and if he drank he posed a danger to the public and women in particular.
The court heard that Woods was released on High Court bail in September and police said they had 'grave concerns' if the defendant was released as this was his 7th breach of bail.
Defence solicitor Seamus Quigley said that it was 'difficult to argue' with much that had been said.
He said that there had been no new offending in this case.

Mr Quigley said that the defendant had 'mental health issues' and used alcohol 'as a crutch'.
