Derry's House of Fraser
A man will be sentenced on September after he appeared at Derry Magistrates Court charged with attempting to steal ten jackets from Frasers in Foyleside.
Stephen Gillen (39) of the Carlisle Road in Derry was charged following staff in the shop reporting a man trying to walk out with ten dark jackets valued at £845. Security detained him as police were called.
Defense Barrister Fergal McCormick told the court that the offence was a breach of a previous suspended sentence.
A pre-sentence report was ordered and District Judge Barney McElhom granted bail with the condition that Gillen not enter any shop apart from one in order to allow him to get basic necessities.
He will appear again on September 27.
