Derry Magistrate's Court
A man has been returned for trial to Derry Crown Court on a charge of burglary stealing hair products valued at more than £1,000 and a sum of money.
John Patrick McGilloway (41) of no fixed abode appeared at a preliminary enquiry at Derry Magistrate's Court today.
He faces one charge of burglary of a hairdressing salon stealing hair straighteners valued at £1,520 and a sum of £2,800 in cash.
The charge was said to have occurred on dates between April 7 and April 12 2023.
It was accepted there was a case to answer and there were no contrary submissions. McGilloway said that he did not want to call any witnesses or make any statement at this stage.
He was returned for trial to Derry Crown Court on June 18 and remanded in custody.
