A 31-one-year old Derry man, who has admitted committing 11 offences involving indecent images of children, has been placed on the Sex Offender's Register.
The length of time Sean McElroy from Knoxhill Avenue in the Prehen Park area of Derry will remain on the Register will be determined when he's sentenced for the offences on June 6.
At his arraignment before Judge Philip Babington at Derry Crown Court, the defendant pleaded guilty to seven charges of making indecent photographs of children.
He also pleaded guilty to three charges of making indecent images of children and guilty to one charge of possessing an extreme pornographic image of a child.
McElroy, who committed the offences on dates between August 13 and August 17, 2017, was released on continuing bail pending sentencing in June.
Judge Babington ordered a pre-sentence report for that date and told McElroy to co-operate with the probation officer in the preparation of the report.
