A firefighter has been injured after a firework was thrown and exploded at their leg during a disturbance in the city.
Police have charged three men following the incident close to the Craigavon Bridge.
The arrests follow a report that campaigners had climbed up a crane in the area and erected a Palestine flag.
Police and colleagues from the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service responded.
A crowd gathered close to the incident and a firework was thrown, which exploded at a firefighter's leg, causing injuries.
The men, aged 22, 26 and 28, were all charged with disorderly behaviour and are due to appear before Derry Magistrates Court on Wednesday, 31st January.
As is usual procedure all charges will be reviewed by the PPS.
Police have appealed for witnesses in relation to the assault on Friday night.
