Derry roads flooded and significant traffic congestion this morning

Bywash is currently impassible

Some Derry roads are flooded this morning, causing traffic congestion.

Foyle road and Bywash on the Creggan Road are flooded.

Councillor Emma Mc Ginley said the Bywash was impassible.

"The bywash is flooded and not passable , and the back roads aren't great either - allow extra time for journeys and travel safe," the Sinn Féin councillor said.

"This has been reported to the department, though we're in the midst of a yellow weather warning for rain and wind as Storm Debi hits."

There was also significant traffic on the Northland Road, Old Creggan Road and Park Avenue.
