The final episode of Julia Bradbury’s Irish journey will feature Derry this weekend.

The four-part series, fronted by TV presenter Julia Bradbury, will air on Channel 4 this weekend (Saturday, 28 October).

Called Julia Bradbury’s Irish journey, it is supported by Tourism Ireland and is expected to be seen by a wide audience of viewers across GB.

In the series, viewers see the presenter exploring and experiencing our spectacular landscape, rich culture and history and, of course, our people. In this weekend’s episode, viewers will see Julia in the walled city of Derry. She meets local tour guide Charlene McCrossan, who tells Julia all about the city’s history.

She also visits Brook Hall Estate, where she chats with estate manager David Gilliland and slow food entrepreneur Emily McCorkill. Emily and David are inviting locals and our overseas visitors to come and enjoy mindfulness days in the beautiful grounds of Brook Hall Estate.

Julia goes foraging for some edible flowers with Emily and ends with a spot of yoga by the river.

Julie Wakley, Tourism Ireland’s Head of Great Britain, said: “Tourism Ireland was delighted to support the production of this new four-part TV series, ‘Julia Bradbury’s Irish Journey’. With a wide audience across GB set to watch the series, it’s an excellent way to shine a spotlight on the walled city of Derry and some of the many great things to see and do on a short break or holiday in Northern Ireland.

“Publicity and broadcasts like this are a key element of Tourism Ireland’s programme of promotional activity, to encourage travellers in GB, and elsewhere around the world, to put Northern Ireland on their holiday wish-list.”
