Martin McGuinness Peace Foundation hails another successful Chieftain’s Walk

The Martin McGuinness Peace Foundation has thanked everyone who turned out for another successful Chieftain’s Walk in Derry on Sunday.

A spokesperson for the Foundation said: “The Martin McGuinness Peace Foundation wants to express our deep thanks and gratitude to everyone who registered and took part in yet another successful Chieftain’s Walk.

“Hundreds of people joined Martin’s family on Sunday to take a poignant walk along the city walls and through his beloved Bogside.

“A special thanks to everyone who took part, and the organisers of others walks that took place across Ireland and beyond, including New York in the United States, this is testament to the esteem that Martin is held around the world.

“By signing up for this walk, people have played a major part in helping raise vital funds to support the work of the Peace Foundation to keep building on Martin’s legacy to achieve a better, fairer and reconciled Ireland.
