Police in Derry seized suspected Class B drugs from a vehicle in Galliagh yesterday evening, Thursday 18th May.
Ballyarnett Neighbourhood Policing Team officers made the detection in the Slievemore Park area at around 6.30pm while on mobile patrol. As they passed a parked vehicle they were alerted to a man who got out of it.
Police stopped the man, and searched the vehicle. A quantity of suspected cannabis was seized from inside the car.
A 39-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of Possession of a Class B controlled drug and Possession of a Class B controlled drug with intent to supply. He was subsequently bailed to allow for further police enquiries.
