Man (29) to appear before Derry Court following discovery of 120 cannabis plants

The plants were discovered at a property in Ardmore.

Police have charged a man to court following the seizure of approximately 120 cannabis plants in the Ardkill Road area of Ardmore, on Wednesday, July 9.

The 29-year-old has been charged with cultivating cannabis, being concerned in supply of a Class B drug and being concerned in production of a Class B controlled drug.

He is further charged with possession of a Class B controlled drug with intent to supply and dishonestly using electricity.

He is due to appear before Derry Magistrates’ Court tomorrow, Friday, July 11.

As is usual procedure, all charges are reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
