Jolene McDaid.
A woman who died suddenly in County Derry at the weekend has been named locally.
Jolene (Joe) McDaid, who was aged in her 40s, was pronounced dead on Sunday, March 9 in the Kilrea area.
Yesterday (Wednesday) police issued a statement saying they are investigating the sudden death.
A man, aged 38, was arrested in connection with the investigation but was later released on police bail pending further enquiries.
A PSNI spokesperson said: “Officers are working to establish the full circumstances surrounding the woman's death.”
A death notice has described Jolene as the 'much loved daughter' of Marlene and Vincent, 'loving mother' of Josh and 'dear sister' of Vinnie, Anthony, Christle, Glen and the late James.
“Jolene will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her entire family circle,” the death notice added.
Ms McDaid will be laid to rest in Enagh Cemetery in Limavady on Friday afternoon following a graveside service.
Tributes have been paid to the mother-of-one online.
“Deepest sympathy to the family at this sad time. Jolene was a lovely girl,” read one tribute.
Another person said: “Thinking of all Jolene's family. R.I.P Joe, a beautiful angel.”
