A man, aged in his 50s, who was arrested following a security alert in the Ranaghan Road area of Maghera earlier this week, has been charged with five offences.
The man is charged with possessing explosives under suspicious circumstances, possessing explosives with intent to endanger life or cause serious injury to property, cultivating cannabis, possession of a Class B controlled drug with intent to supply, and possession of a Class B controlled drug.
He is expected to appear before Dungannon Magistrates’ Court tomorrow (Saturday, December 14).
As is usual procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
