A Draperstown woman has been honoured with the prestigious 'Apprentice of the Year' title at the National Building and Construction Awards.
Earlier this year, Charlotte Hassan, an Assistant Site Manager with Campsie-based EHA Group, made the final in the Apprentice of the Year category.
Charlotte was shortlisted alongside five others for her apprenticeship at EHA which led onto her current role.
At the recent glitzy awards ceremony, held near London Tower Bridge, Charlotte walked away with Gold.
The awards are hailed as one of the best in the UK Construction industry and Charlotte's title is an incredible accolade, winning from a tough finalist group.
Charlotte’s Apprenticeship included the completion of her first project as Apprentice Site Manager, totalling 90 units - 75 apartments and 15 houses.
This project has been recently shortlisted for Project of the Year.
Charlotte is currently working on a site of 120 units.
A spokesperson for EHA said: “Congratulations to all involved in the awards and thank you to the NBCA for the opportunity.”
