Out & About Community Transport celebrates 25 years of Serving the Magherafelt District Area with Essential Transport

Out & About Community Transport has been based in Magherafelt since 1999. This September we are celebrating 25 Years of serving the community. Out & About makes a huge contribution to complementing the wider public transport network, but we are helping connect communities and ensuring that some of the most vulnerable people in our society can access essential local services and more actively participate in society.

Out & About Community Transport is a Non-profit organisation which is based in the heart of Magherafelt. Our mission is to provide Accessible and Affordable transport to Individuals and Groups living in the Magherafelt District Area. For 25 years we have been transporting beneficiaries from the community to much needed hospital and health appointments, essential shopping, and other necessary trips to keep members of the community living independent and active lives. We will continue to reduce isolation and promote social inclusion, funding permitting!

Out & About Community Transport wants to highlight the great work we do in the community with an open day being held at their offices on the Station Road Industrial Estate, Magherafelt on Wednesday 25th September between 10 am-2:30pm. This will allow you the opportunity to visit the office and meet the Directors, Staff, Drivers and Volunteers that work for this VITAL organisation. Since the beginning of the Organisation, we have been committed to those living in the rural community.

Out & About Community Transport want to showcase the important work that is provided as soon as that phone call is received, but more importantly show off our team that keep the cogs running on a daily basis to keep you connected.
