Bradley’s Centra in Maghera has been recognised with three shortlistings at the prestigious 2024 UK Retail Industry Awards, which are widely regarded as ‘The Oscars’ of the grocery sector.

After winning the Drinks Retailer of the Year award in 2023, the store has once again made it to the finals of this category, alongside being shortlisted in the Best Use of Technology section, while store manager Eoghan Jordan is a Store Manager of the Year finalist.

Rewarding excellence and outstanding achievement across a broad range of categories, while recognising independent retailers alongside the large supermarket groups, the Retail Industry Awards will take place on 18th September in London.

In addition, the Centra brand has been shortlisted in the Symbol/Franchise Group of the Year category while SuperValu NI is a Community Retailer of the Year finalist.  Musgrave NI, which owns the brands, has also achieved finalist status in the Most Sustainable Retailer of the Year Initiative category.

Paddy Murney, Retail Sales Director at Musgrave NI commented on the shortlist:

Congratulations to the team at Bradley’s Centra Maghera for being shortlisted in three categories at the Retail Industry Awards. The store’s beers, wines and spirits offering is both comprehensive and competitive, while the use of technology to reduce the store’s carbon footprint and provide a seamless shopping experience is to be commended. I would also like to congratulate Eoghan for being shortlisted in the Store Manager of the Year category, and for leading an excellent team, dedicated to serving their community with the best in modern retailing.”
