Police investigating Limavady murder granted additional 36 hours to question four males

Blake Newland died in hospital after he was stabbed multiple times on Friday night.

Detectives investigating the murder of 17-year-old Blake Newland in Limavady on Friday evening have been granted a further 36 hours to question four males who were arrested.

The teenager died in hospital after being stabbed in the Woodland Walk area of the town.

A man in his 50s, who was also injured during the incident, was taken to hospital where he remains for treatment to injuries which are not believed to be life threatening

To date, six males have been arrested and remain in police custody.
