Shane Lowry splits with caddie Bo Martin after five years together
Shane Lowry is splitting with caddie Brian 'Bo' Martin after over four years together
According to a report from the Irish Independent, the split is 'amicable' and was confirmed by Shane's management company last night.
The Irish Independent is also reporting that the pair had been considering the move for several weeks, believing their near four-and-a-half-year relationship had lost its "spark" or "chemistry".
The partnership proved to be a very successful one since 2018 with Shane Lowry winning The Open in Portrush in 2019 sparking incredible celebrations at the Northern Ireland course.
It's a big year for Shane as he is hoping to retain a place on Europe's Ryder Cup team in Rome.
