Driving towards a bright future... Exciting times ahead for Bentley

As the Bentley Bar on Market Street in Derry goes into its ninth year of business, it has developed from its original 100 person capacity to a complex comprising five floors which can hold upwards of 600. The latest addition is a comprehensive remodelling of the wine bar and the addition of a new Gin Bar that looks out over the city walls via a huge curved glass façade. Owners Tony, Ruairi and Jason are delighted with the latest transformation of the building. “We always say that this is last refurbishment, but then we see an opportunity to enhance the Bentley experience like this restyling of the wine bar, and we have to go for it.’ explains Jason Doherty. ‘I’m really happy with the modern look.” More live music is also something to expect at the new Bentley according to Ruairi Breslin. “The renovation allowed us to install a stage for bigger bands to play on and completely update the sound system to give the best live music experience in the town. We will be bringing some exciting bands to Derry in the new year.” Fellow owner Tony O’Connor believes the trend toward unique drinking experiences is something the new bar can offer. “We want customers to have the most enjoyable experience possible and by giving them service that is exceptional, lots of choice when it comes to variety of drinks and providing this in an ambient atmosphere we hope to achieve this. “There is now VIP table service on offer and our Ginbar stocks over 21 brands of gin as well as a wide range of cocktails. He concluded: “Sure where else would you get it?"
