Gary Middleton (DUP)
The second most experienced MLA in the constituency, Gary Middleton was co-opted into the Foyle seat in April 2015 to replace Maurice Devenney.
Before that, he had been elected to the old Derry City Council in 2011 at the age of 20, before topping the poll in the first Derry City and Strabane District Council election in 2014.
Middleton was elected in both the 2016 and 2017 Assembly elections, and polled third in the 2019 Westminster election.
