Atlantic Sessions 2023 in County Derry
The award winning Atlantic Sessions Music Festival will return to Portstewart and Portrush next week. More than a 100 musicians are expected to perform on stage.
From Thursday 16 to Sunday 19, concerts will take place in restaurants, hotels and music venues where each artists will play their songs for at least an hour.
The much-loved event will take place in Portstewart in County Derry and Portrush in County Antrim.
The Atlantic Session festival is an initiative by The Causeway and Glens Borough Council that offers over 30 music gigs, free of charge with no booking required.
“We wish to welcome all residents and visitors to the Borough to enjoy our award-winning music festival,” said Councillor Steven Callaghan, mayor of the Causeway Coast and Glens.
“There is always a warm welcome in Portrush and Portstewart.
“We are very proud of the reputation Atlantic Sessions has gained as a place to celebrate emerging talent as well as established artists, and we are looking forward to another very successful weekend in the Causeway Coast and Glens.”
Portstewart will welcome North Coast Trad, Seefin, Jack Warnock & Eleanor Gaffney, Luca FD, Acoustic Dan and The 4 of us.
In Portstewart, four venues will host the events such as Portstewart Arms, Star of the Sea, The Anchor and the Flowerfield Arts Center.
The 4 of Us concerts at the Flowerfield Arts Center is sold out, but other gigs are still available.
However, it is the occasion to discover new artists. Taylor Lally, Seefin and Tyler Micheal will make their debut at the festival this year.
All shows are free, but some gigs require booking. It is on a first-come first-served basis.
