Derry City’s Alex Bannon has officially been named in the EA SPORTS FC 26 Team of the Week (TOTW) 22 following his standout performance in the League of Ireland season opener.
The 22-year-old Scottish defender earned his place in the prestigious squad after scoring a spectacular 81st minute equaliser in Derry City's 2-1 comeback victory over Sligo Rovers on Friday night.

Bannon's 25-yard "wonder strike" was a highlight of the match, helping the Candystripes secure three points at the Ryan McBride Brandywell Stadium.
In this week's Ultimate Team release, Bannon is featured alongside major global stars like Ousmane Dembélé and Luis Díaz. His special TOTW card features a significantly boosted overall rating compared to his base 55-rated item.
Bannon was joined in the wider League of Ireland Team of the Week by his Derry teammates Brandon Fleming, Carl Winchester, and Josh Thomas, who scored the injury-time winner against Sligo.
