County Derry’s Chloe MacCombe claimed gold at the first round of the 2025 World Triathlon Para Cup in Abu Dhabi.
The Claudy native and her guide Aoibh Clarke claimed victory at this brand-new course in the United Arab Emirates.
It was a brilliant start to the new para-triathlon season, as MacCombe claimed the gold medal, which gave her maximum points for the rest of the 10-race series.
The 29-year-old built upon her previous success in winning a silver medal at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in the women's paratriathlon, with Catherine A. Sands as her sighted guide.
