Derry City to begin the 2025 season at the home of champions Shelbourne

Derry City will open the 2025 season at the home of champions Shelbourne.

Tiernan Lynch’s first game will be one of the most difficult in City’s season, with the Candystripes heading to Tolka Park on February 14, a venue they have won at only once in their last four visits, back in March, 2022.

Shels memorably won the league title at the Brandywell by defeating Derry City 1-0 on the final day of the 2024 league campaign.

City’s first home game of the season will be a week later against Bohemians at the Brandywell. In terms of big games to look out for, Derry City will travel to St. Patrick’ Athletic on Mon, March 3, and will meet Shamrock Rovers for the first time later that month, with a game at Tallaght on Fri, March 28.
