The 2025 provincial football championship draws will take place on Saturday, October 12, and will be broadcast on RTÉ Radio 1.
In Ulster, the teams that played in this year's preliminary rounds, Cavan and Monaghan, as well as the 2023 fixture of Antrim against Armagh, will skip the opening round. As a result, two of Derry, Donegal, Down, Fermanagh, or Tyrone will face each other in the preliminary quarter-final.
Donegal will look to defend their Anglo Celt crown as they hope to make it two Ulster championships in-a-row for the first time since 2018-'19.
In Munster, for a second consecutive year, Clare and Kerry have secured byes to the Munster semi-finals, with the possibility of meeting each other in the last four.
In Connacht, Galway will travel to New York for their preliminary round, while Roscommon head to London for their quarter-final.
While Leinster will maintain their practice of awarding quarter-final byes to counties that reached last season’s semi-finals, meaning Dublin, Kildare, Louth, and Offaly are likely to progress straight to the last eight.
