County Derry’s Dearbhaile Brady has booked her place in the final of the S6 50m Fly.
The Feeney teenager debuted earlier at the Paris Paralympics in the S6 category of the 50 metre freestyle heat on August 29.
Her debut did not go as she had hoped, as she failed to reach the final of the 50-metre freestyle event.
Yet, Brady has demonstrated her mental resilience to reach the final of the 50m Fly this evening at 5:05 pm.
The European Championship bronze medalist finished in fourth in her heat with a time of 38.73 seconds.
Her Team Ireland teammate Nicole Turner finished third in the heat with a time of 38.10 seconds.
Both secured safe passage to the final, as the eight fastest from the heats would qualify for the final; Turner’s time qualified her in fifth and Brady in sixth.
