Alfie Friars has signed for Derby County
Derby County have officially signed Coleraine FC player Alfie Friars.
The Derry man signed the contract on July 2 and since signing here has been much congratulations for the underage star.
St. Columb’s College were proud about this ‘exciting opportunity’ for Friars as they posted on Facebook about their student.
Meanwhile, County Londonderry Super Cup NI were quick to congratulate the defender.
Friars has impressed at every club he has represented up to this point which has earned his move to the Championship club from Coleraine.
But his performances last year in the 2023 SuperCupNI for County Derry put Friars on the radar of many scouts.
He was pivotal in the side as they went on to win the Premier section, beating sides like Manchester United, Rangers and Mexican side Tigres UANL in the final.
But he had previously applied his underage trade at the likes of Culmore Youth, Derry Colts, Foyle Harps, Don Boscos, and Derry City.
