The Ulster Cross Country Finals took place recently in Mallusk bringing together the top 120 qualifiers in each age group.

Approximatley 750 athletes across Ulster, in each age group, competed for these places in their District Championship earlier in January, so qualifying in itself is a fantastic achievement.

Congratulations must go to St. Patrick's, Maghera student Conan O'Doherty who placed 13th and has qualified for the Irish Championships which will be held in March.

Congratulations also to St. Patrick's Grace Evans (22nd), Orla McKenna (49th) and the Year 8 Boys’ and Girls’ teams which placed 8th and 13th respectively.

Commiserations to Luke O'Doherty who, after a very promising start, fell on the 3rd lap and was unable to complete the course.
