Glen booked their place in the All-Ireland final after a dramatic finish on Sunday in foggy conditions Newry.

The Wattys were 0-12 to 0-5 ahead before a Crokes comeback, thanks to a Hugh Kenny goal, levelled matters.

Ethan Doherty then hit the net to open a four point lead. There was still time for Shane Walsh to score a second Kilmacud goal but Glen hung on.

The reigning champions hit the early scores from Luke Ward and Mark O’Leary before Glen bounced back.

Three Danny Tallon points saw the Wattys into the lead before Shane Walsh kicked from distance to level with Kilmacud’s last score for 12 minutes.

Glen had their spell and threatened breakaway goal chances only for wayward passed in a foggy afternoon.

Emmett Bradley (two), Tallon and Michael Warnock put Glen three points clear before a Mannion free as the clock ticked into stoppage time.

It was Glen who chased down two Kilmacud Crokes’ kick-outs with McFaul and Glass thumping over scores to open a commanding 0-9 to 0-4 interval lead.

Brothers Eunan and Cathal Mulholland helped Glen into a commanding lead before the dramatic finish as Glen needed to win the game for a second time to book a final spot with St Brigid’s later this month.
